Me

Seeking to find joy in the act of making, I use natural materials to weave often technically complex cloth. The act of calculating and preparing intricate woven structures has provoked a passion, my aim when designing is to convey this to the viewer.

Colour and form take the lead for me when designing and I often take this inspiration from brutalist architecture and design. Paying attention to the development of colour and its interaction when woven together, has given me an understanding of the joy that I seek through process. Taking visual pleasure from the contrast between neutral and bold tones, I use these contrasts to highlight shape and structure within my cloth.
